With the divided and hotter-than-usual state of the world right now — I am speaking of temperament and political stances, not the weather — many thoughts came to my mind. Recently, I was speaking with someone who just lost her mom, and suddenly, it was a time of personal reflection about my own mother and her wisdom about things at a time I needed it the most. But, I didn’t want to receive the message (haven’t we all been there with our mothers?). Think before you speak and it will save you a lot of heartaches and worry.
Just wanted to share…
MY MOTHER ALWAYS SAID, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
Mom, as bad as I hate to admit it, you were RIGHT!
Food for thought and a reminder to self…
You can never take back what is said and words are powerful! They can be used to ENCOURAGE or they can be used to cause PAIN. Think about this before you SPEAK.
Thank you, MOM!
Every day is a tiara day!
